Well, less than three weeks after the Tornado Watch, we had a Blizzard Warning. I'll never be bored in my life if all I do is keep tabs on the weather! I've never been a big fan of snow, but life with two little boys has helped me like it a bit more. I wish I could share a picture of how stunning my corner of the world looked after this storm (our USB ports are broken, so there's no downloading going on here). The approximately 6-8" inches of snow was preceded by rain and followed by wickedly cold temperatures and wind chills, along with blowing snow. Not possible to bundle up enough to enjoy being outside, but it was so beautiful to see the snow still clinging to the trees and branches because the rain had created a surface for it to cling to. Truly breathtaking.
We got our Christmas tree today at a new place...hubby cut the tree down while the boys and I yelled "timber!" The big storm hit on Sunday, and today the world still looked like a winter wonderland. For the photographer in me, it was painful not to be able to take pictures! Oh well. The sights will be on my mind for a long time. Until spring, that is. :)
